Since his extraordinary arrival on the international scene in 1987, Sananda Maitreya's work has followed one constant principle: the music must lead. The landmark albums Introducing the Hardline, Neither Fish Nor Flesh, Symphony or Damn and Vibrator established one of the most distinctive voices of his generation.

But those records were never meant to define the limits of the story.

At the turn of the millennium, he chose an increasingly independent path, building TreeHouse Publishing in Milan and creating outside the traditional music industry, on his own terms. From Wildcard, Angels & Vampires, Nigor Mortis, The Sphinx, Return To Zooathalon and The Rise Of The Zugebrian Time Lords to Prometheus & Pandora, Pandora's PlayHouse, The Pegasus Project: Pegasus & The Swan, his catalogue has continued to grow with remarkable freedom, alongside collaborations with the Budapest Art Orchestra, Quartetto Archimia and his live band The Sugar Plum Pharaohs.

Today, almost forty years in, Sananda Maitreya isn't looking back at a finished legacy.
He's still writing it.
